Health Advice

In the west there is an general understanding that if you cut yourself or sustain and injury that you should  do certain things

  1. Clean the injury and cover to prevent the ingress of dirt and germs.

  2. Seek medical attention if the injury is serious.

  3. Have basic supplies of antiseptics and clean water.

IT NEEDS TO BE REMEMBERED THAT THINGS WE TAKE FOR GRANTED IN THE WEST MAY NOT BE THE ACCEPTED NORM HERE IN CAMBODIA. CLEAN DRINKABLE WATER, OUTSIDE OF THE CITIES, IS A LUXURY MANY PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE.

WE SUPPLY OUR OWN CLEAN WATER, STERILE WHEN NECESSARY AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES THAT MAY BE NEEDED SUCH AS ANTISEPTICS, BANDAGES AND SWABS.

WE ARE A FREE SERVICE AND CHARGE THE PEOPLE WE SEE NOTHING FOR THE WORK WE DO.

Village people in Cambodia seem to have little understanding of the need to keep things clean, many are illiterate and have never been taught about germs and microbes. They are eager to help themselves but sadly, in many cases do not know how.

Access to and being able to give good health advice can save injuries and in some cases live if given at the right time and in the right place.
