The Khmer Sight Foundation is a wonderful organization that works to improve eye health and prevent blindness in Cambodia. It was founded in 2015 by His Excellency Sean Ngu and the late Dr Kim Frumar, who wanted to unify ophthalmology and eye care in the country. The foundation has a vision of training the next generation of eye care professionals in Cambodia so that they can provide high-quality, safe and effective eye care to their own people. The foundation also collaborates with international specialists who volunteer their time and skills to conduct free eye screenings and surgeries for the poorest and most remote communities. The foundation has helped thousands of Cambodians regain their sight and their dignity. The Khmer Sight Foundation is a shining example of how local and global efforts can work together to make a positive difference in the world.
